Commemoration of Kargil Vijay divas by LJKC study centre, Nagpur chapter.
Nagpur chapter of Ladakh-Jammu-Kashmir study centre commemorated 22nd Kargil Vijay divas in a unique way.
Unlike previous Year’s, this year a speech by an eminent defence expert was arranged by virtual mode. Retired Col Amod Kulkarni was distinguished speaker who spoke on the topic “Kargil victory- History and analysis”, on 24th July 2021.This program was chaired by Meera Khadakkar, President of LJKS, Nagpur chapter. Abhinandan Palsapure, secretary conducted the proceedings. Jt. secretary Sri Satish Marathe Introduced the distinguished speaker. Sagar Mitkari, Treasurer JKSC, conducted the post lecture interactive session. sixty minutes speech by Col ( Ret) Amod Kulkarni was very much appreciated and lauded by viewers. The micro details presented in lucid manner about events which unfolded during the Kargil conflict of 1999, kept audience glued to their chair. He also spoke about valour of our men in uniform and their beyond the call of duty service in safeguarding the nation’s border.
As a followup of the program, CLJKS for the first time conducted unique exercise of honouring the Soldiers or parents of soldiers served the nation while guarding our national borders, in order to remember them post war/conflict, also. They were presented with plaque, named as ‘Abhivadan Patra’, as a mark of acknowledgement of their tireless efforts and sufferings for the cause of mother land. Some of the Retired service personnel were also honoured by presenting plaque, in recognition of their services.
